Join Spinions Beach Party, whether it rains or snows! In Quickspin’s 2016 slot it’s always sunny, the sand is hot and the drinks are cold.

Spinions are here to dance, have fun and party hard. The more the merrier, so the slot really starts rocking when the orange little creatures get together. By the way, do you notice anything… familiar about them? I really can’t be the only one who thinks that spinions could be the long-lost cousins of the Minions, those yellow life-forms in denim.

Anyway, the spinions have arrived at the beach, and are ready for the action. With eager faces, they’re all waiting and watching the reels spinning. When two or more spinions land on the reels, the party can start.

Graphics & sound

The theme of Spinions Beach Party is fun, and far from seriousness. Everything in the game looks very orange, which works well with the Quickspin’s usual orange user interface. The spinions are, of course, all-orange too.

The game is set at a beach, with some palm trees swaying gently, and the ocean glimmering in the sun. The spinions have gathered there to have the time of their lives, and you’re invited!

The graphics are highly entertaining, and watching the spinions go absolutely bonkers with the Wild re-spins is fun. The music in the game could be a soundtrack from Sims, as it’s pretty generic, pop-like tunes.

Symbols & wins

There are five reels, three rows and 25 paylines in Spinions Beach Party. The options for adjusting your bet are very limited, so all you can do is just select one of the pre-set wagers. The minimum bet for a spin is 5p and the maximum is $100.

The winnings are paid from left to right, starting from the utmost left reel. The symbols also have to be in adjacent reels and on the same payline, to form a winning combination. Only the Bonus symbols are the exception, as they are only in use on reels 1, 3 and 5.

Basic symbols:

  • 5 x champagne bottle pay 8x your bet
  • 5 x orange drink pay 6x your bet
  • 5 x watermelon drink pay 6x your bet
  • 5 x pineapple drink pay 5x your bet
  • 5 x coconut drink pay 5x your bet
  • 5 x A, K, Q, J or 10 pay 2,4x your bet

Special symbols:

  • Wild: Substitutes any other symbol on the reels except the Bonus. Three Wilds pay 1,2x your bet, 4 Wilds pay 4,8x your wager and five Wilds 20x your bet.
  • Bonus: Three Bonus symbols activate 10 free spins.

Features

  • Sticky Wilds:

The Wilds can substitute any other symbol, but it can not act as a Bonus symbol. When two or more Wilds land on the reels with the same spin, it starts a Wild re-spin with the Wilds sticking where they land.

Every time any new Wilds appear during the re-spins, it starts a new re-spin until there are no more new Wilds.

  • Beach Club free spins:

If you manage to collect the Bonus Club symbol on reels 1, 3 and 5, you get 10 Beach Club free spins. During the free spins, any new Wild stays on its place for the rest of the spins. Theoretically, this means that it’s possible for every reel to be covered in Wilds.

Final Thoughts

Spinions Beach Party looks and sounds great. While the music could have more character, it’s good enough to listen without clicking the mute-button. The design on the spinions is simple but works well enough.

As a slot, Spinions Beach Party is somewhere on the medium-level. With a relatively good RTP and high volatility, it could be an interesting game. But, as the features tend to get boring quickly and the maximum win isn’t anything to brag about, I’d say there are better options. For newbies, Spinions Beach Party might be fun to try, but I think seasoned players need more to be entertained.
