After a long search, we’ve finally found a habitable planet and named it Planet Fortune. And it’s full of riches! The planet is a world of wonders and people there live in wealth, although they seem to be quite fond of ‘50s style and fashion.
Living happily on the newly founded planet the people don’t even have to work that hard. Mining, building, cleaning… Who has the time to do all that? Well, the robots, of course. While the gold-gilded robots work day and night, the humans are enjoying their life and leisure. But, there are whispers of robots planning something. A revolution, maybe? …Nah, what a ridiculous idea.
Planet Fortune is a high-variance slot with the RTP of 96.5%. This combination could be better, as could the maximum win of 2,500x your bet. So, it’s not the best game for the squeamish – however, the free spins with sticky Wilds can offer some great surprises.
Play’n GO released Planet Fortune in 2018, and it adapts the old sci-fi comics and movies into a sepia-toned slot.
This retrofuturistic game reminds me a bit of The Jetsons, a ‘60s cartoon of a family living in the future and surrounded by flying cars, imaginative gadgets and robots. Also, it reminds me of post-apocalyptic games like Fallout. So, if you are a lover of retrofuturism, I can pretty much guarantee this slot pleasing your eyes.
During the robot revolution, the robots get angry and their eyes start to glow red. The pleasant scenery behind the reels gets bombed and the air gets murky of the smoke. Loving the details here.
The soundscape of the slot is also heavily retrofuturistic, but the background music doesn’t always go well with the sound effects. The combination is more often shambolic than harmonious, and this caused me to turn off the game sounds pretty quickly.
Planet Fortune has five reels, four rows and 40 paylines going from left to right. The slot has a preset selection of bet levels but, as I always recommend with high-volatile games, I’d definitely go with moderation. Slots with high volatility often require time, patience and a deep wallet that isn’t afraid to take risks.
Theoretically, the best payouts in Planet Fortune lie with the free spins when the Wilds are sticky and slowly move to the left side of the reels.

The low-value symbols can also get stacked during the Magnetic Mayhem, but only the better paying symbols are always stacked.
During the free spins, all the robots landing on the reels stick to their place until the next spin. At the beginning of each spin, every robot moves one spot to the left until they reach the edge of the first reel and fall off.
The maximum amount of free spins is always 10. They can not be re-triggered during free spins.
Planet Fortune is a stylish game with nice art, interesting gameplay and possible big wins. Not a big fan of the music though, but I can always listen to something better while playing and enjoying the retrofuturistic adventure.
What I really like in the slot is the feature adding mega symbols to the reels, because it makes the base game a tad more exciting. The free spins are fun too, but sometimes they can be very tricky to activate.
Naturally, Planet Fortune does have the downsides of the high-volatile game. This means less frequent payouts, a huge variance of the winnings and smaller chances to win big. However, the slot has a good potential, which is why Planet Fortune is one of my personal favourites of the high-volatile games.
