With over 4,000 paylines, Wild Blood 2 presents us with an exciting vampire story. A mysterious man has moved into town with his family, and suddenly people start to go missing. Now the handsome newcomer has invited you to have dinner in his mansion. This is the perfect chance to do some investigating!
Wild Blood 2 is a sequel for Play’n GO’s slot with the same name. Published in 2020, which is seven years after the first game, Wild Blood 2 continues the saga of the vampires. While the first game was set in modern times, in Wild Blood 2 the year is probably somewhere in the late 19th century.
So, you’ve been invited to the mansion. It looks very grand and expensive, so the newcomer must have quite a fortune in his pockets. The dinner is exquisite and the wine is divine, but you can’t shake the unnerving feeling that something is up. Later, the master of the mansion introduces you to his beautiful cousins, Laura, Margaret and Rebecca.
As you have already drunk so much, the man politely suggests that you should stay for the night. You agree on this, and in the dark of the night, you finally get the opportunity to explore the house. Whos bedroom should you check first?
The volatility and the RTP are around the same as in Wild Blood. Even if the winnings are usually just as mediocre as in the first one, I think this sequel is much more interesting and versatile.
I do like the art of Wild Blood 2. It’s nicely done and pretty, though the master vampire isn’t quite up to my taste. The style he’s done in somehow reminds me of Dorian Gray – the beautiful but corrupted man who looks young forever. The general feel of the art is also very suggestive and sensual, which of course fits with the vampire theme.
Play’n GO’s choice for the game music isn’t hitting it home for me this time. It’s too modern, even if it succeeds in creating a certain intensive ambience. But it is way better than in the first one!
Wild Blood 2 has upgraded its game since when the first slot came out, so the sequel has six reels, four rows and 4,096 paylines. The winning combinations still pay from left to right.
The highest paying symbols are the vampire ladies. The master vampire himself acts as a Wild and does not pay any wins by himself. With three or more blood vials you get to select one free spin feature with either expanding Wilds, multiplier Wilds or Wilds that slowly collect multipliers and more free spins.

Special symbols:
Before the free spin starts, the Wild turns into a group of bats and fly to cover the first reel with Wilds. Only after this, the reels 2-5 get the free re-spin.
You win free spins by collecting Scatters as follows:
The first thing to do before the free spins start is to choose the feature:
During Laura’s and Rebecca’s free spins, the Scatter symbols can retrigger more free spins. 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 Scatters award 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 free spins.
If the Vampire bat re-spin activates while the free spins are played, the corresponding symbols of the vampire lady on reels 2-5 turn to Wilds. So, if the re-spin happens during Laura’s free spins, every Laura symbol turns to Wild for the re-spin.
While playing Wild Blood 2 I naturally had to compare it to the first one, as I just recently reviewed it, too. The gameplay is smoother and more interesting, the features have been updated nicely and the slot runs better on mobiles. On whole, Wild Blood 2 is a very successful continuation for the first one.
However, as in Wild Blood, in many cases, I found it almost impossible to trigger the free spins. The Vampire bat re-spins happened quite often, but they didn’t have as nice payouts as I had expected.
In general, the payouts were more disappointing than pleasant. This is a shame because otherwise, the game is easy on the eyes and the possibilities are very compelling. I would definitely choose to play this over the original, but Play’n GO does offer better slots, too.
