Ready to enter a world of cuteness and cuddles in Not Enough Kittens? Just watch out for the, ahem, the hairballs. Join the fluffy adventure in this 5-reel, 3-row slot with 35 paylines developed by Thunderkick at the end of 2017.

Don’t let that date fool you though. This slot can go head to head with other releases this year in terms of the sharpness in its design and pleasing mechanics. This is all thanks to the continuous innovation the developer strives for. Resulting in engaging slots that stand the test of time.

Not Enough Kittens features the Professor from P.U.S.S. facility and her cute furballs. The slot has a vibrant colour palette, relaxing soundtrack and the cutest FX I’ve ever heard in a game. Just make sure your tail isn’t caught in that catflap.

Symbols

High-paying symbols all feature the fluffiest of furballs. Low-paying symbols take the shape of various sized wool balls.

The symbols, from highest to the lowest consist of:

  • The scatter tile is a cat flap and will only appear on reels 1, 3 and 5. It can also feature as a double symbol. Three or more scatters will trigger the free spins round.
  • The Wild tile substitutes for all symbols bar the scatter. If a cat is on the same payline as the wild, it will double the cat symbol and the wild itself. 10 wilds on a payline yield 100x.
  • The black cat yields 100x with 10-of-a-kind on a payline.
  • The white cat yields 75x with 10-of-a-kind on a payline.
  • The ginger tabby yields 60x with 10-of-a-kind on a payline.
  • The cream cat yields 50x with 10-of-a-kind on a payline.
  • The yellow wool ball yields 2.2x with 5-of-a-kind on a payline.
  • The orange wool ball yields 2x with 5-of-a-kind on a payline.
  • The pink wool ball yields 1.8x with 5-of-a-kind on a payline.
  • The purple wool ball yields 1.6x with 5-of-a-kind on a payline.
  • The ball wool ball yields 1.5x with 5-of-a-kind on a payline.

Features

  • Double symbols

If a single cat symbol is on the same line as a wild symbol it will double. A wild symbol on the same line as a cat will also count as a double symbol. Scatter tiles can also land as a double symbol.

  • The Bonus Round

Landing 3 or more scatters anywhere on the reels will trigger the free spins round. The amount of free spins is directly related to the amount of scatters that triggered the bonus round. Six scatters will award 25 free spins, 5 scatters will award 20 free spins, 4 scatters award 15 free spins and finally, 3 scatters award 10 free spins.

During the free spins round, wild tiles may appear stacked. During the bonus round, landing another 3 or more scatters will award a full retrigger of the round.

Conclusion

If someone ever asked me to create a slot I am pretty sure this would have been the result. I’m a cat lady through and through so there was no doubt in my mind I was going to fall in love with this slot.

But even speaking objectively, this slot is a joy to play. It’s cute, funny, and relaxing – its low to medium variance takes care of that. Even though the volatility is quite low, the game still has an interesting max win of 3,650x. This is achievable in the bonus round with the help of the stacked wilds and double symbols features.

If you want a break from the countless high volatility slots and want to just sit back and have a bit of fun then you should definitely check out Not Enough Kittens.
