Are you ready to face the Norse gods and goddesses in the latest Endorphina slot Asgardians? You will come face to face with Thor, Loki and Odin himself as you battle your way through the mighty Asgard. This 5-reel, 3-row slot with 25 paylines brings thunderous gameplay, bonus games and free spins rounds.
Asgardians follows the same gameplay of other Endorphina slots but there is an extra feature that dials up the fun. As usual, the design is crisp and perfectly fits with the theme of the slot. The same goes for the music and FX. Endorphina always delivers on these fronts and manage to create an aesthetically good package.
When it comes to the symbols in play, great attention to detail was given to the higher-paying symbols which depict the gods. However, with the lower-paying symbols, Endorphina seems to have settled from plain old card suits.
The symbols, from highest to the lowest consist of:
The Rainbow Bridge tile is what you’re looking for to trigger the free spins round. Any three of these on the reels will do to receive 10 free spins. All winnings from the free spins will be multiplied by 3. And you also have a chance to enter The Forge during the free spins round.
This is the feature that makes the game slightly more exciting than the other Endorphina games. Land Mjöllnir on an active payline and you will enter The Forge. Here you have a choice of 12 shields all covering different amounts of money. But be careful, 3 of these shields are empty and will stop the game once they are broken.
As with many Endorphina slots, all game wins are eligible for a gambling round. Unlike other games, the risk game is hidden in Asgardians but it can be found on the bottom left of the slot whenever a win is registered. The risk game consists of 1 card facing up and 4 cards facing down. To win the game, the card chosen from the face-down ones needs to be higher than the one facing up. If you win your money is doubled and you can continue going up to 10 times. Lose the game and you lose all the money you started playing with. It is a simple enough game but I find myself losing most of the time even if the return to player stands at 84%.
Endorphina slots tend to feel safe and predictable but they did alter their recipe slightly with Asgardians. In my opinion, this has paid off. Having the extra Forge feature brings in a new dimension to the game making it more exciting.
There is also a relatively small amount of symbols in play and with the Wilds, I found it quite easy to get 5-of-a-kind on a payline. Wins come quite frequently, although many were on the lower side. Having said that I still managed a few good wins averaging 15x on the base game.
With the bonus round multiplying all wins by 3, there is scope for some good wins here. However, none of these really blew my mind and that is no surprise considering the medium variance of the slot.
