Introduction

Super Sweets is packed with so many delicious treats that it will delight feature lovers and candy lovers alike. Brilliantly designed and crafted with the skill and precision that comes with Betsoft titles, this slot is great for anyone who just wants to have some light-hearted fun. Expect super sticky wilds, free spins, re-spins and some fantastic graphics to match!

Theme and Graphics

The slot is set in a candy factory. Not just any factory, the pinkest, most bubble gummy candy factory one can imagine – even Willy Wonka would be impressed! Built-in a 5×3 formation, the reels of Super Sweets have been cleverly turned into the production tubes of the candy making machine. Running along the bottom of the reels is a conveyor belt where players can see the finished packages of sweets moving along, out to distribution.

The backdrop of Super Sweets looks as if Betsoft dived into a child’s imagination. It’s very cartoon-like with a spattering of pink and white swirls, golden tubes and what looks like a globe. Don’t be put off by all the pink and wackiness though, I think it goes a long way to bringing Super Sweets to life.

The graphics for Super Sweets is impeccable, as can be expected from a studio as experienced as Betsoft. The symbols are sharp and crisp, as too are the colours used. From the shining golden tickets to the bursting super sweet symbols, Betsoft has got all the minute details just right. Even the soundtrack is melodic and uplifting, like something lifted straight from a Nintendo Wii game. I promise you won’t get tired of it at all.

Features

Super Sweets is packed full of features like a big box of assorted chocolates. Enough is going on in this game to keep even a seasoned slots player engaged. I’ll explain each of these in this section.

Double up game: Bet 50 or 100% of any win in the base game

By no means an innovative feature, the double up still adds another exciting element to the game. As suggested by the name, this feature allows players to gamble their winnings after any standard win. Simply press the DOUBLE UP button after a win and you’ll be given the chance to gamble 50% or 100% of your winnings on heads or tails. I’ve not played a slot that gives players the option to choose how much they gamble before. I was definitely a fan of this as it gives you a little more control and means you don’t have to risk everything.

Sticky wilds: Earn respins for every extra Wild

The sticky wild symbol is quite rightfully a piece of pink bubblegum that looks as if it’s been squished against the screen. With every wild that lands on the reels you will earn one respin. The wild then ‘sticks’ on the reels whilst the other symbols spin. If you land another wild, you earn another respin. This will keep going on (provided you continue landing new wilds) until you reach a maximum of 9 repins. It’s a great feature and can be a nice little combo winner.

Free spins: Land 3 Wilds/Scatters and earn a minimum of 5 free spins

The main feature of Super Sweets is definitely the free spins. To trigger this feature and earn 5 free spins, players must land three Golden Tickets anywhere on the reels. During the free spins round, the golden tickets will become sticky. If you land another wild during the round you’ll gain 1 free respin! If you land another golden ticket then you’ll get even more. When I triggered the bonus round I managed to bag myself a cool 9 free spins and walked away with $78!

Candy Surprise: Sweet treats that can trigger free spins

Keep an eye out for the Super Sweets candy in a pink wrapper. These little sweeties can appear at any time on reels 2, 3 & 4 and can transform into a golden ticket or a sticky wild! Potentially helping to trigger the free spins mode or giving you a free respin. Who said sweets were bad for you?

Bets and Payouts

As you might expect, the symbols in this game are so sweet you’ll probably need a filling after a few spins. Unfortunately, a sugar rush is about all the punch they pack. If you care about high paying symbols then this game may not be the one for you. See below for payouts.

  • Chocolate block – pays 25x for 5 on a payline
  • Strawberry sweet – pays 8x for 5 on a payline
  • Strawberry & cream swirl – pays 5x for 5 on a payline
  • Diamond sweet – pays 2.5x for 5 on a payline
  • Heart sweets – pays 2x for 5 on a payline
  • Spade sweets – pays 1.5x for 5 on a payline
  • Club sweets – pays 1x for 5 on a payline

Super Sweets comes with 10 paylines that pays left to right. The minimum bet size is $0.10 and the max bet $10, so it is clear this game is for the ‘smaller’ or more ‘average’ players. Personally, I experimented with a few bet sizes but found $2.50 to give me the best yield. As mentioned above, don’t expect to hit the big time with massive wins as the low-paying symbols and combos mean a max win of 394x. With a max bet in play, this corresponds to just $3,940. However, with a medium variance of 95.03%, you can expect to get regular wins to satisfy those emotions.

Conclusion

I’m a big fan of Super Sweets. The game is brilliantly designed with fantastic gameplay and graphics to match. There isn’t anything necessarily innovative about the game and you definitely shouldn’t expect to get huge wins. However, if you’re like me and enjoy playing fun slots that will lift your spirits and leave you with a smile on your face, then this is the game to play.
